Are the Television Channels Live or do I have to download the content to watch?

TV Anywhere’s channels stream to you in real time just like a cable or satellite service, we also offer hundreds of hours of on demand content which, once selected, play immediately.

Is the quality of the picture something that I really would want to watch on my television?

TV Anywhere is using the latest technology to bring crystal clear digital picture and sound to our customers all over the world. Our service quality is comparable to or better than a typical digital cable or satellite service and noticeably better than traditional analog cable.

How does TV Anywhere’s service work?

TV Anywhere has used the latest technology to make live high quality digital television available to you anywhere in the world using the Internet and our fully secure and encrypted content distribution network. All of this makes it possible for you to watch our high quality service in your living room, on your television, through your current high speed Internet connection via our set top box.

Installation of the service is as simple as following our comprehensive how-to DVD which will walk you through set up of your PC and/or set top box then sit back, relax and watch the TV you want, when you want, wherever you want. Simple as that.

I have an old television will TV Anywhere’s service still work?

Yes it will as long as you have a traditional cable spigot also known as a BNC connection or RCA Audio and video connectors on the back of your TV. If you do not have either a BNC or RCA connection on the back of your TV you may use a TV transformer which will allow you to connect a coaxial cable to your TV antenna inputs.

How am I billed? Will a monthly bill be sent to me?

You will be set up on a preauthorized debit or credit account which will be debited monthly based on your monthly reoccurring bill and any variable charges for billable on demand content. You will not receive a monthly bill in the mail but will be able to check your account on-line.

What extra functionality will the Set Top Box give me?

When you add our set top box to the TV Anywhere service it not only allows you to connect our service to your television(s) but also offers:

• A DVR (Digital Video Recorder) which will let you pause, fast forward and rewind live television content and quickly and easily record your favorite programs.
• Parental control allowing you to block television programs based on its rating.
• Search functionality so you can find the programs you want instead of finding them by chance.

What does the IPG (Interactive Program Guide) offer me?

Unlike traditional analog guides which make you wait to scroll trough the upcoming programming, only giving you the available programming for the next hour, TV Anywhere’s IPG allows you to search programming by title, time, and subject, and allows you to channel surf while still watching your current program through our picture in picture screen. Best of all our IPG and remote control are intuitive making them easy to use from day one.

Does TV Anywhere offer a DVR (Digital Video Recorder)?

Yes TV Anywhere offers a DVR which will let you pause, fast forward and rewind live television content and quickly and easily record your favorite programs.

Does TV Anywhere offer HD (High Definition) television programming?

No at this time we are only offering standard definition television programming. Our standard definition is known as near HD as we offer up to 475 lines of resolution.

I heard that you can you surf the Internet on your TV with TV Anywhere’s service?

That is correct, TV Anywhere has made available a select group of Internet sites that view well on your television such as You Tube and Yahoo.

What channels can I expect?

TV Anywhere offers content from broadcasters that you are very familiar with and represents the mainstream of live TV in the USA. A full channel line up will be made available at launch and will allow you to choose programming packages that suit your taste and interest.

What is Video on Demand?

Our VoD (Video on Demand) platform allows you to watch a movie or TV show on your terms. You can begin to watch a show or movie whenever you choose. Some video on demand content is free to you and others, such as Hollywood movies, are on a per purchase basis. Full player controls are available in VoD mode including pause, fast forward, and rewind.

How do I purchase a set top box if I wish to view on my TV set?

For the moment you can order a set top box from us in the Store section of My Account. We will ship you the box directly to your door along with easy to follow instructions on how to install it in your home. We do expect that later in the year we will be able to offer retail purchase options to you that will allow you to purchase a set top box from a retail store near you. Also, we expect to soon be able to utilize an X-Box 360 or PS3 as a set top box and will provide more detail on these pages in the future.

Where is TV Anywhere Available?

Currently the service will be available world wide. The programming packages and channels that are available are specific to where you live based on our agreements with the content owners.

So, what do I get if I refer a friend?

Current TV Anywhere subscribers who refer a new customer to us will receive programming credits for a free month of service based on your current package. The referral forms will be available in the My Account section of the support site.

Can I be a beta tester?
